Anne Mette Bulker's godmother visits her in Aarhus, Denmark

A screen grab of the opening shot of a video about Anne Mette Bulker

Our vessel Anne Mette Bulker made a stop in Aarhus, Denmark recently to discharge a cargo of shea kernels from the Ivory Coast. Our ships trade world-wide and so when we have one in our ‘home’ region of Denmark, we like to visit them if we can. We also wanted to visit our crew to thank them and keep their spirits up. Due to COVID-19, many crew members have not been able to change over and so have been working on the ship much longer than usual.

A special visit was arranged with Anne Mette Autzen, the original ‘godmother’ who gave her name to the vessel. Anne Mette Autzen visited the ship and her crew along with her father, Bent Østergaard (former Managing Director of the Lauritzen Foundation), Lauritzen Bulkers CEO Niels Josefsen and Vice President Carl Wegeberg. Both the crew and the visitors followed all necessary precautions to allow a visit to the ship’s deck. We hope you enjoy this short video of the visit, including some drone footage by Carsten Lundager.
